Graduated in Pharmacy-Biochemistry from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (1995), Master in Biological Sciences (Microbiology) from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1998) and PhD in Biological Sciences (Microbiology) from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2003). From 2004 to 2007, she held a postdoctoral internship at the Laboratory of Immunopharmacology (Dep. Biochemistry and Immunology-ICB-UFMG). From 2017-2018, she completed her Postdoctoral Internship at The Scripps Research Institute in San Diego, CA. She was an effective Professor of Clinical Pathology at the Technical College of UFMG from 2008 to 2010. Currently (since 2010) is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy of UFMG and advises the Graduate Programs in Clinical and Toxicological Analysis and Sciences. UFMG Pharmaceuticals. Research activities in the following areas: Interface between the Fibrinolytic System and Inflammation; Study of inflammatory response and its resolution; Study of intracellular signaling in inflammatory processes; Study of inflammation markers in human diseases.
